Potlakaya Perugu Pachadi / Snake Gourd Yogurt Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Snake Gourd pieces
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 11/2 cup Fresh Curd/Yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut potlakaya/snake gourd into thin half rounds and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, snake gourd pieces and stir well. Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame.
  3. Add salt for snake gourd pieces, turmeric powder and cook until soft, finally add red chilli powder and fry for a min on low flame.
  4. Once done turn off the flame and allow it to cool. In the meantime, whisk curd with enough salt and keep aside.
  5. Once cool down completely, then add the fried snake gourd mixture to the curd and mix well.
  6. Now tasty tasty potlakaya perugu pachadi/snake gourd raita is ready to serve.
