Ragi Kharjur Laddu/Finger Millet Kharjur Laddu-how to make Ragi Kharjur Laddu

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Ragulu / Finger Millet
  • 200 gr Dry Dates / Endu Kharjuralu
  • 25 nos Almonds / Badam
  • 1/4 kg grated Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 1 sp Elaichi Powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan add ragulu and fry, let it cool for some time, after that grind into a fine powder.
  2. Slit all the dates and remove the seeds from them, use a mortal and pestle to ground the dates.
  3. Crack the dates with head of the pestle until they are crushed into small pieces.
  4. Then again grind the crushed pieces into powder with the mixer grinder.
  5. Grind Ragulu, almonds into a fine powder separately.
  6. Add the badam powder to the dates powder and blend until well combined
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine the dates mixture, grated jaggery with ragi flour.
  8. Add hot ghee and mix very well and take small portion of the mixture and shape into a lime size ball, repeat process with remaining mixture.
  9. Now ragi kharjur laddus are ready to serve, its very healthy and energy, store them in an airtight container.
