Raw Mango Chutney Recipe / Pachi Mamidikaya Pachadi / Green Mango Chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 Raw Mangoes
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Tamarind Pulp
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • For Chutney :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Methi Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 sp Urad Dal
  • 2 sp Oil
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli Crocked
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut mamidikayalu into small pieces and keep aside, wash and soak tamarind in little water and keep aside. Heat 2 sp oil in a pan add chutney ingredients and fry, once done remove from the heat and allow it to cool for a while.
  2. After that grind the fried popu along with salt, tamarind, turmeric powder and green chillies into a coarse paste with little water.
  3. Then add the ground chilli+popu mixture to mango pieces and mix well, don't grind mango pieces.
  4. Heat 1 sp oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add in ground chutney and mix well. Now spicy and tasty mango chutney/mamidikaya pachadi is ready to serve, serve with hot steamed rice and ghee.
