Vermicelli Yogurt Bath Recipe / Semiya Curd Bath / Thayir Semiya

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semiya/Vermicelli
  • 1 cup Curd/Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1" inch Ginger chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/4 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. In a pan add 4 cups of water, little salt and add 1 sp of oil, allow it to boil, when it start boiling add the vermicelli and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Once semiya is cooked turn off the flame and pour into a strainer to drain water, pour cold water over it and let it cool, transfer into a serving bowl.
  2. Then add curd, milk, salt to cooked semiya and mix it well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies, ginger and fry for a while, remove from fire and cool down for a min, then add it to semiya curd mixture.
  4. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix well, now semiya curd bath is ready.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
