Simple Dal With Toor Dal / Kandi Kattu - How to make Kandi Kattu - Dal Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Toor Dal/Kandi Pappu
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1 sp Oil
- Curry Leaves

Instructions
- Wash toor dal, for 1 cup toor dal add 3 cups of water and cook it in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles and keep aside.
- Once cooled, mash it properly, heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done pour mashed dal, turmeric powder, salt, sugar and mix well.
- Allow it to boil on medium heat for a couple of mins, then turn off the flame & transfer into a serving bowl, now toor dal is ready to serve, serve with plain rice and ghee.
