Spicy Coconut Powder With Fresh Coconut / Kobbari Karam With Pachi Kobbari / Spicy Coconut Powder
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated Fresh Coconut /Pachi Kobbari Turumu
- 7 Dry Red Chillies
- 1 inch Tamarind Flake
- 1 sp Chana Dal
- 1 sp Urad Dal
- 1/4 sp Coriander Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pinch Hing
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan add above ingredients (except coconut,salt) and fry until golden brown then remove from the pan.
- In the same pan add grated coconut and fry well till all the moisture is evaporated and turns light pink, then turn off the flame & allow it to cool.
- Once cooled grind them into a coarse powder with enough salt and transfer it to a bowl, now spicy coconut powder is ready.
- Serve with hot rice & ghee and also serve it with idli, dosa. It will stay fresh only two days.
