Masala Palak Paratha Recipe / Spinach Masala Paratha / Palakura Masala Roti

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Palakura/Spinach
  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1/2 sp Garam Masala
  • 2 sp Wheat flour for dusting
  • Salt to taste
  • enough Water
  • 4 sp Oil/Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add onion, green chilli pieces and fry for a while.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 secs on low flame.
  3. Next add chopped palak, garam masala and stir well.
  4. Cook for a couple of mins then add enough water and salt.
  5. Once the water starts boiling, pour wheat flour and mix well, then turn off the flame.
  6. Let it cool for a couple of mins, then make a dough, leave it for 15 mins with cover.
  7. Knead well and divide the dough into small balls. Flatten one ball of the dough with your hand.
  8. Apply little flour and roll out the ball into a thin round with the help of a rolling pin.
  9. In the mean time heat a griddle, when it hot cook chapathi on both sides with little oil/ghee.
  10. Make the same process with the remaining dough balls. Now palak chapathi is ready to serve.
  11. Serve with curry or fresh curd.
