Taati Munjala Rabdi Recipe / Toddy Palm Seed Rabri - Dessert Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 lt Milk
  • 6 nos Taati Munjalu / Toddy Palm Seeds
  • chopped few Pista, Badam & Cashew
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 pinch Saffron Threads
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder

Instructions

  1. Wash the taati munjalu and remove the skin and chop them into small pieces.
  2. Heat milk in a non-stick pan to boil, keep stirring now and then.
  3. Till it reduces 3/4th of its original quantity then add sugar and stir.
  4. Scrape the sides of the pan and stir the milk mixture from time to time.
  5. Once the milk thickens turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
  6. Once cooled add chopped taati munjalu, elaichi powder to the reduced milk and mix well.
  7. Now Taati munjala rabdi/rabri is ready and place in the fridge to rest at least for one hour.
  8. Before serving add chopped dry fruits, saffron threads and serve.
