Bobbarlu and Tomato Rice / Alasandalu Tomato Pulav / Lobia Tomato Bath
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/4 cup Bobbarlu/Lobia
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Potato chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- Salt to taste
- 3 sp Oil
Instructions
- Wash and soak rice for 15 mins and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and fry for 30 secs.
- Then add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and fry till soft.
- Now add in ginger garlic paste and stir, add chopped potato and soaked black eyed peas and mix well.
- Add tomato pieces, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander leaves and stir.
- Let it cook for a couple of mins then add fried tomato mixture to soaked rice and pressure cook.
- When done remove the lid and mix well. Now lobia tomato rice is ready to serve, serve hot with onion raitha.
