Vamu Annam / Ajwain Rice / Carom Seeds Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked Rice
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 sp Asjwain Seeds/Carom Seeds/Vamu
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 4 Cashews Nuts
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add cashews and fry, then remove from pan to a plate keep aside.
  2. Add vamu/ajwain to the same pan and fry for 30 sec, then add red, green chillies, curry leaves and fry for a while.
  3. Once done add chopped onions and stir-fry until the onions are tender, then add cooked rice, enough salt and mix well.
  4. Finally add cashew nuts, chopped coriander leaves and mix well, cook on low flame for a couple of mins, then turn off the heat.
  5. Now Vamu annam/ajwain rice is ready, transfer into a serving plate and serve hot.
