Yellow Cucumber Dal with Moong Dal / Dosakaya Pesara Pappu
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Moong Dal
- 1 cup chopped Yellow Cucumber Pieces
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- 1 pinch Hing
- 2 sp Oil
- few Curry Leaves
- few chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions
- Wash moong dal and soak for 5 mins and keep aside, in a bowl add chopped yellow cucumber, chopped tomato, green chillies and tamarind.
- Pressure cook moong dal, cucumber pieces in two separate bowls and leave it to cool, then remove the lid and combine the cooked moong dal & dosakaya mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, cooked dosakaya moong dal mixture and stir well.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix it well, add chopped coriander leaves and cook for a couple of mins on medium flame.
- Now dosakaya pesara pappu is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with rice and roti.
