Veg Khichdi Recipe / Vegetables Khichdi / Veg Pongal
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Moong Dal
- 1 Carrot chopped
- 2 Potatoes chopped
- 4 nos Beans chopped
- 3 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 sp chopped Ginger
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 sp Pepper Corn
- Salt to taste
- Curry Leaves
- 5 sp Oil
- 3 cups Water
Instructions
- Wash rice+moong dal and soak them for 10 mins and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a khadai add cumin seeds, pepper corn and fry, once done add green chillies, curry leaves and fry.
- Now add chopped vegetables, turmeric powder into it and fry for a couple of mins on low flame.
- Then add soaked rice and dal mixture and fry for a while. Remove from fire and place the fried ingredients to a cooker bowl and pressure cook with enough salt and 3 cups of water.
- When it done transfer into a serving bowl. Now vegetable khichdi is ready to serve, serve with coconut chutney or allam chutney.
