Rice Rava Moong Dal Sweet Pongal / Biyyam Rava Sweet Pongali - Festival Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Rice Rava
- 2 sp Moong Dal
- 11/4 same cup Jaggery
- 4 cups Water
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- few fried Dry Fruits
- 2 sp Ghee
Instructions
- Heat a khadai add rice rava, moong dal and fry for 2 mins, then wash them and pressure cook with 4 cups of water.
- Meanwhile boil water, add jaggery into it and boil, once the jaggery dissolved, filter the syrup and remove the dust.
- Again boil the jaggery syrup and make it slightly thick, then add cooked rava dal mixture, elaichi powder and mix well.
- Continue to cook for couple of minutes, if the water has been absorbed add 1/2 cup more water and cook, once done remove from the flame.
- Now rice rava moong dal sweet pongal is ready, transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with ghee and fried dry fruits.
- Serve it to "Goddess Durga" for naivedyam during Navaratri days.
