Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lobia/Alasandalu/Bobbarlu
  • 2 Green Chilles
  • 2 inches Ginger Piece
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • Curry leaves chopped
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak lobia overnight or at least 4-5 hours, after that wash and drain the water from the alasandalu completely.
  2. Grind them along with green chillies and ginger without water, then remove from the jar and place it into a mixing bowl, add salt, chopped coriander, curry leaves and mix well.
  3. Now vada batter is ready, take small ball from the batter and pat a round shape.
  4. In the meantime heat oil in a pan, when hot drop it into hot oil carefully, fry them on medium flame till they become brown in color, takeout from the pan and drain them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  5. Alasandalu vadalu/lobiya fritters are ready to serve, serve hot with onion chutney or tomato sauce.
