Alu Methi Paratha / Potato Fenugreek Leaves Paratha

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup Godhuma Pindi/Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup chopped Methi Leaves/Menthi Kura
  • 1 Aloo/Potato finely chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 sp Chat Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil/Ghee

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook chopped onion, green chillies, aloo pieces, methi leaves with a little water and enough salt.
  2. Allow it to cool for some time, then add in chat masala and mash it well till smooth.
  3. Add wheat flour to this mashed methi mixture and knead to a smooth dough.
  4. Knead the dough well and make equal lemon sized balls and keep aside.
  5. Dip the dough ball in dry flour and place on a flat surface, then roll it into a chapathi.
  6. Meanwhile, heat tawa over medium heat, add 1 sp oil on the tawa and coat the pan with oil.
  7. Then place the raw methi paratha on the hot tawa and cook both sides with oil.
  8. Make the same process with the remaining dough balls.
  9. Now alu methi paratha is ready to serve, serve hot with fresh curd/yogurt.
