Aratikaya Ava Pettina Kura / Raw Banana Curry with Mustard Powder
Ingredients
- 1 no Raw Banana / Aratikaya
- 1/2 lime size Tamarind
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 3 Green Chillies cut lengthwise
- 1 sp Mustard Powder
- 1 sp Jaggery
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 2 Red Chillies crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash the tamarind and soak it in 1/2 cup of water & keep aside, wash, peel raw banana and cut into small pieces and cook along with salt, turmeric powder and strain.
- Heat oil in a pan, add popu ingredients and fry, once done add tamarind juice, jaggery to it and cook for 5 mins until the tamarind juice thickens.
- Add cooked banana pieces and stir, cover and cook on low flame for a couple of mins, then add mustard powder to it and mix well and turn off the flame.
- Now Aratikaya ava pettina kura/raw banana mustard powder curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with rice.
