Simple Bhindi Fry / Bendakaya Kura / Lady’s Finger Stir Fry / Okra Fry Curry

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Bendakayalu/Okra
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, clean bendakayalu with a kitchen cloth without moisture. Then cut into small pieces and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, when done add curry leaves and stir.
  2. Add chopped okra pieces and stir-fry, then add turmeric powder and fry for 5 mins, add in enough salt and stir well. Fry it for a couple of mins on low - medium flame until done.
  3. When done add red chilli powder and fry for a min, turn of the heat and transfer into a serving bowl. Now simple and easy bhindi fry is ready, serve hot along with sambar and rasam.
