Dosakaya Tomato Pappu Recipe / Yellow Cucumber Tomato Dal - Dal Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Toor Dal
- 1 cup Yellow Cucumber pieces
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 sp Tamarind pulp
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 crocked Red Chilli
- 1 pinch Inguva/Hing
- Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Pressure cook toor dal, chopped cucumber, tomato, green chilies and tamarind flake with 11/2 cups water for 3 whistles. Once done turn off the flame and allow it to cool, then mash it well.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry. Once done add curry leaves, cucumber dal mix, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Let it cook for 5 mins on low to medium flame. Now dosakaya tomato pappu is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and roti.
