Rava Murukku / Suji Rice Flour Murukulu / Semolina Muruku
Ingredients
- 1 cup Semolina/Suji
- 4 cups Rice Flour
- 2 sp Sesame Seeds
- 1 sp Cumin Seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
- enough Water
Instructions
- Cook suji with three cups of water like halwa and add 2 sp of oil over it and mix well, allow it to cool.
- Once cooled add rice flour, salt, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and mix well.
- Add 2 sp hot oil into the flour mixture and mix well.
- Now add enough water and make it a soft dough.
- Heat oil in a wide pan in medium flame, when hot place a fistful of dough in muruku maker and press it into hot oil. Fry them till they turn light golden brown in color.
- Fry 3-4 murukus at a time, once done remove from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil and allow them to cool.
- Now semolina murukulu are ready to serve, store in an airtight container.
