Carrot Mango Rice / Carrot Pachi Mamidikaya Rice

  • 11/2 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1/2 cup grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup grated Mango
  • 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • fistful Peanuts
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 1 pinch Inguva
  • Curry Leaves
  • 4 sp Oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan add peanuts and fry, then remove from the pan & keep aside.
  2. Add mustard, cumin seeds, crocked red chilli, inguva to the same pan and fry.
  3. When they splutter add curry leaves, green chillies and stir for 30 secs.
  4. Add grated carrot and stir for 2 mins, then add grated mango & stir.
  5. Now add turmeric powder & mix well, let it cook for a couple of mins on low flame.
  6. Once done add cooked rice, salt and stir well, now add fried peanuts and mix very well.
  7. Carrot mango rice is ready to serve, serve with boondi.
