Curry leaves Powder Recipe / Karivepaku Podi - Andhra Style Curry Leaf Powder
Ingredients
- 1 cup Curry Leaves
- 2 tbsp Chana Dal
- 2 tbsp Urad Dal
- 2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1/2 sp Pepper Corns
- 2 inches Tamarind Flake
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 6-7 Red Chillies
- Salt to taste
- 2 sp Oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan add chana dal, urad dal and fry for a couple of mins.
- Next add coriander seeds, pepper corns, red chillies and fry.
- Fry them until they become golden brown, then remove from fire and keep aside in plate.
- In the same pan add curry leaves and stir-fry them for a couple of mins.
- Remove from flame and keep aside, let it cool completely.
- Once cooled add tamarind, salt, turmeric powder and grind into a coarse powder with the roasted ingredients along with curry leaves,
- Now curry leaves powder is ready, store in an airtight container, serve with rice and breakfast recipes.
