Triangle Sweet Kaja Recipe - Diwali Special Recipe - Festival Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup All purpose Flour/Maida
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- 1/4 sp Cooking Soda
- 1/4 sp Saffron Color
- 2 sp Butter or Dalda
- few chopped Almonds
- Oil for deep fry
- 1 cup Water for syrup
Instructions
- Take all purpose flour in a mixing bowl add cooking soda, butter and mix well.
- Add saffron color, enough water and make it to a smooth dough, cover the dough and allow it to rest for at least 30 mins.
- Boil sugar and water together to make it into a syrup (one string) add elaichi powder and keep aside.
- Take the small ball of the dough and then roll it into a small puri, fold the puri to half, again fold it to half to make a triangle shape and press the edges.
- Now fry them on low flame, increase the flame when the kajas float, fry them on both sides, then drop them into the sugar syrup.
- Let it sit for few minutes in sugar syrup then remove and place on a plate to dry, sprinkle chopped badam over it immediately after dipping.
- Now diwali sweet recipe, triangle kajas are ready to serve, store them in an airtight container.
