Drumstick Milk Curry / Munakkaya Palu Posina Kura

Ingredients

  • 1 Drumstick / Munakkaya
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut munakkaya into 2 inches pieces, heat oil in a fry pan add popu ingredients and fry.
  2. Add green chillies, curry leaves, onions and stir-fry until the onions are tender.
  3. Now add drumstick pieces, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and fry for a min, then add 1/2 cup of water and cook with cover, keep stirring in between.
  4. Once the drumstick pieces are cooked well, add milk and stir well, let it cook on low flame till the milk is absorbed in the curry.
  5. Now munakkaya palu posina kura is ready to serve, serve with hot rice.
