Munakkaya Masala Curry Recipe / Drumstick Gravy Curry
Ingredients
- 2 nos Munakkayalu/Drumsticks
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 small Onion chopped
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 pinch Inguva
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 sp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 sp Garam Masala
- 2 sp grated Coconut
- 5 Cashews
- Salt to taste
- 3 sp Oil
- Curry leaves
- Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- Wash and cut munakkayalu into small pieces and cook with little salt, meanwhile grind coconut, cashews into a fine paste and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add hing, onion, green chillies, curry leaves and fry, when the onions turn soft add add ginger garlic paste and stir-fry for 30 sec.
- Add chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cook, add ground paste and mix well, then pour 1/2 cup of water and cook on low flame for a couple of mins.
- Next add cooked drumstick pieces, coriander powder, garam masala powder and cook for a while, then transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Munakkaya gravy curry/drumstick masala curry is ready to serve, serve with rice or roti.
