Karivepaku Podi / Curry Leaves Powder 2nd Method
Ingredients
- 1 cup Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Urad Dal
- 1 sp Cumin Seeds
- 2" Tamarind Flake
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 4 Red Chillies
- Salt to taste
- 2 sp Oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan add urad dal & fry for 2 mins.
- Next add cumin seeds, red chillies and fry until done.
- Lastly add curry leaves and fry for couple of mins.
- Turn off the flame and let it cool for some time.
- Grind all the ingredients into a coarse powder.
- Karivepaku podi is ready to serve.
- Serve with rice, idly, dosa, pongal etc.
- Store in an airtight container.
