Bhindi Coconut Fry Recipe/Bendakaya Kobbari Kura/Okra Coconut Curry

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Bendakayalu/Lady's Finger
  • 2 tbsp grated fresh Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sp Curd
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, clean okra, trim the edges and cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry.
  3. Once done add curry leaves,bhindi pieces and stir well.
  4. Add curd and mix well, cover and cook for 5 to 8 mins on low to medium flame.
  5. Now add turmeric powder, salt and cook for a couple of mins.
  6. Finally add the grated coconut, red chilli powder and stir well.
  7. Continue to cook for another 2 mins with lid on low flame.
  8. Then turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
  9. Bendakaya kobbari kura/Bhindi coconut fry is ready to serve, serve hot.
