Khoya Kachori / Mawa Kachori – How to make Kova Kachori - Diwali Sweets - Festival Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup All purpose Flour/Maida
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 sp Ghee
- Oil for deep fry
- 1/4 cup Sweet Kohya/Mawa/Kova
- 2 sp chopped Dry Fruits
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- 1 small cup Sugar
- same cup Water
- few Saffron Strands

Instructions
- Take plain flour and add salt, ghee and mix together, then add enough water and make a soft dough & keep aside for 15 mins, meanwhile, in a small bowl combine above the stuffing ingredients and mix well & set aside.
- Mix well and divide the dough into 6 equal balls and keep aside, take one dough ball and flatten on the surface of your hand & place 2 sp of stuffing in the center and make into a ball. Press the ball with your palm gently. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
- Heat oil in a pan, when hot deep fry the kachoris over medium heat until light golden brown and remove from the hot oil and drain well.
- Boil sugar with a cup of water in a bowl, stirring constantly until it comes one string consistency, then dip this fried kachoris in the sugar syrup one by one and let it cool.
- Now tasty tasty Diwali special recipe khoya/kova kachori is ready, garnish with chopped dry fruits, saffron threads and serve.
