Maida Halwa / All Purpose Flour Halwa

  • 1 cup Maida/All purpose flour)
  • 11/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1 pinch Orange Color
  • 1 cup Water
  • few Cashew Nuts
  • 1tsp Elaichi Powder


  1. In a mixing bowl mix maida and add enough water to make it a soft dough.
  2. Then pour 1 cup of water into it & covered for 1 hour and keep it aside.
  3. After one hour squeeze the dough & take milk from the maida dough.
  4. Then alow it to stay for 1 hour, now remove the water on the top of the maida milk.
  5. Thick milk is there, add in orange color, elaichi powder and mix very well.
  6. Now boil water in a non- stick khadia & add sugar into it and make a thick syrup.
  7. Add in maida milk and stir continuously, when it becomes thick like halwa add ghee stir well.
  8. Cook until the ghee leaves from the halwa, then turn of the heat.
