Lemon Dal Recipe / Nimmakaya Pappu - how to make simple Lemon Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup Toor dal
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 3 Green Chillies cut into lengthwise
- 2 sp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red chilli crocked
- 1 pinch Hingh/Inguva
- few Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and pressure cook toor dal with two cups of water upto 3 whistles, when it cool remove the lid and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for a while. Then add cooked toor dal, salt, turmeric powder and stir well.
- Let it cook for a couple of mins on low flame, when done turn of heat. Then add in lemon juice and mix everything well, don't add lemon juice while cooking. Now simple lemon dal is ready to serve. Serve hot with white rice or rotis.
