Spinach Onion Curry / Palak Ullipaya Kura - how to prepare Palak Onion Curry

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped Spinach/Palak
  • 1 big Onion chopped
  • 3 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash the palak leaves and chop them finely. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chillies, onions and fry-cook until the onions are tender.
  2. Then add chopped palak, turmeric powder and stir well, cook on medium flame for a couple of mins (don't sprinkle water). Add salt and mix well, cook on low flame till the curry is done, then remove from the heat.
  3. Now healthy recipe palak onion curry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice or roti.
