Palakura Pesara Pappu Kootu / Spinach Moong Dal Pepper Stew
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Moong Dal
- 1 full cup chopped Spinach
- 3 sp grated Fresh Coconut
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 4 Green Chillies
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 pinch Inguva / Hing
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Combine and grind coconut, cumin seeds and green chillies to make a coarse paste with enough water & keep aside.
- Wash and pressure cook moong dal, spinach along with turmeric powder.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add cooked dal mixture, salt, ground paste and mix it well.
- Let it cook for a couple of mins then turn off the flame, palak kootu is ready to serve, serve with rice or rotis.
