Vermicelli Coconut Bath / Semiya Kobbari Bath / Semiya Coconut Bath

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semiya/Vermicelli
  • 1/2 cup grated Coconut
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • few Cashews Nuts
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 cups Water
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add water, little salt, 1 sp of oil and allow it to a boil, when it start boiling add the vermicelli/semiya and cook for 4 or 5 mins.
  2. Once semiya is cooked then turn off the flame and pour into a strainer to drain water, pour cold water over it and keep aside for cool down completely.
  3. Heat remaining oil and add popu ingredients and fry, once done add cashew nuts, curry leaves and stir, now add grated coconut, salt and mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on low flame for 2 mins on low flame, then add cooked semiya and mix it very well, let it cook for a while and turn off the flame.
  5. Now Semiya coconut bath/vermicelli kobbari bath is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
