Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup Pallilu/Penuts/Groundnuts
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 6 Green Chillies
- 3 Red Chillies
- 1 sp Coriander Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 inch Tamarind flake
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil
Preparation :
- Heat a pan add peanuts and fry with out oil , once done transfer to a plate and keep aside. In the mean time soak tamarind in little water and keep aside.
- Take 1 sp oil in the same pan add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies and fry. When done remove from the pan and keep aside.
- Fry chopped tomatoes, green chillies with another 1sp of oil until tomatoes turn soft and mushy and let it cool.
- Once cooled grind fried green, red chillies, cumin, coriander seeds, salt, turmeric powder and tamarind flake and peanuts. Then tomatoes and blend it again, then remove from the jar.
- Heat oil in a small pan add popu , when they fry add to ground chutney and mix well.
- Now palli tomato chutney is ready to serve. Serve with white rice or rotis.
