Pongali Bondalu Recipe / Leftover Khichdi Dumplings - Leftover Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice Rava Pongali
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1/2 sp Garam Masala
- 1/2 sp Amchur Powder or Lime Juice
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- chopped Curry Leaves
- little Salt
- Oil for deep fry
- 4 sp Besan
- 1 sp Rice Flour
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- enough Salt
Stuffing Ingredients :
For Batter :
Instructions
- Place the batter ingredients in a mixing bowl and add enough water to make a thick batter and keep aside.
- Put stuffing ingredients (expect oil) in mixing bowl and mix very well.
- Divide the pongal dough into small lemon sized balls and keep aside.
- Dip the balls in batter till completely coated, then drop them carefully in hot oil.
- Fry them until they are golden brown and remove from the pan.
- Pongali bondalu are ready, place them on a paper towel and serve immediately with any chutney.
