Radish Paratha/Mooli Paratha/Mullangi Paratha - how to make Radish Paratha

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 sp Oil
  • enough Water
  • 2 sp Wheat Flour for dusting
  • For Stuffing :
  • 1 cup grated Radish/Mullangi
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chillie finely chopped
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 sp Chat Masala
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • enough Salt
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Make a soft dough with wheat flour, enough water,1 sp oil and salt, cover and keep aside for 15 mins.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add chopped onion, green chillies, coriander leaves and fry until soft, then add grated radish, salt, turmeric powder & stir, cook it for a couple of mins on low flame with a lid.
  3. Add in chat masala and mix it well, turn off the flame and leave it for cool, once cooled divide the cooked radish masala into small lime sized balls, now stuffing is ready.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal balls, flatten one ball of the dough with your hand and place the stuffing in the centre and carefully close it from all sides together.
  5. Take a stuffed dough ball and apply some wheat flour on both sides and roll it gently into a round shaped chapati with a rolling pin.
  6. Heat a thick flat pan, once hot put the paratha on it and cook for 1 min and then flip the other side, apply ghee/oil to the paratha and cook both sides well.
  7. Once done remove from the pan, repeat with the remaining dough balls and filling, now radish parathas are ready, serve hot with fresh yogurt and pickle.
