Rice Flour Appalu / Biyyam Pindi Appalu / Rice Flour Burelu With Sugar
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 Elaichi Pods
- Oil for deep fry
Instructions
- Wash and soak rice for 1 hour and strain for 10 mins.
- Grind the soaked rice into fine powder like ariselu flour.
- Grind sugar along with elaichi pods into a coarse powder and add in rice flour.
- Grind together for 30 secs and remove from the jar and keep aside for 15 mins with lid.
- After that mix well the rice flour-sugar mixture, if needed add a little milk.
- Make a soft dough and divide into small balls out of it.
- Heat oil in a frying pan, shape the balls into small vadas and fry them until brown in color.
- Remove from the oil and drain them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Hanuman appalu/Ganesh burelu are ready for naivedyam, its very crispy and tasty.
