Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice Flour
  • 3/4 cup grated Jaggery
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 sp Ghee
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan with water and add jaggery, let it boil for a couple of mins.
  2. When jaggery completely dissolved remove and strain.
  3. Again boil Jaggery syrup for 1-2 mins and remove from flame.
  4. Add wheat flour, rice flour, elaichi powder, one spoon ghee and mix well.
  5. Allow it cool for some time, then make a soft dough and make small balls.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan, shape the balls into small vadas and fry until brown in color.
  7. Remove from oil and drain them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Hanuman appalu are ready to naivedyam, its very soft and tasty.
