Semiya Carrot Bath Recipe / Vermicelli Carrot Upma - Upma Varieties
Ingredients
- 1 cup Semiya/Vermicelli
- 1/2 cup grated Carrot
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- few Cashews
- 1 sp Lemon Juice (optional)
- 3 cups Water
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil

Instructions
- In a bowl pour 3 cups of water, little salt, 1 sp oil and allow it to a boil. When it start boiling add the vermicelli and cook for 3 to 4 mins.
- Once vermicelli is cooked then turn off the flame and pour into a strainer to drain water, pour cold water over it and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add cashews and fry, remove from the pan and keep aside for garnish. Add popu ingredients to the pan and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for a while. Then add grated carrot and stir.
- Add turmeric powder, enough salt and mix well, let it cook for 4 or 5 mins on medium flame.
- Once done add boiled semiya and mix everything well, cook on low flame for a couple of mins. Now semiya carrot bath is ready, turn off the flame add lemon juice and mix well.
- Remove from the flame and garnish with fried cashew nuts and serve hot.
