Semiya Halwa Recipe / Vermicelli Sheera - how to make Vermicelli Halwa - Halwa Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semiya / Vermicelli
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
  • few chopped Cashew Nuts
  • 2 sp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add chopped cashew nuts and fry for 1 min, then add vermicelli into it and stir.
  2. Meanwhile, set another bowl with 2 cups of water on the stove to boil.
  3. Roast vermicelli until brown, then add in boiled water and stir well, let it cook on low flame till it becomes soft.
  4. Then add sugar, elaichi powder and mix well, cook until the sugar completely dissolved.
  5. Allow to cook until it becomes thick, then turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, semiya halwa is ready to serve, serve hot or chilled.
