Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cracked Wheat / Godhuma Rava
  • fistful Moong Dal / Pesara Pappu
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 sp chopped Ginger
  • 2 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak moong dal for about 10-15 mins and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
  3. Add soaked moong dal and stir-cook for 30 secs, then add 2 cups of water, enough salt and bring it to a boil.
  4. Once the water starts boiling pour the wheat rava, coriander leaves and stir well.
  5. Cover and cook on low-medium flame until all the water is absorbed, turn off the heat and leave it for 1-2 mins with cover.
  6. Now wheat rava pesara upma is ready to serve, serve hot with chutney or fresh curd.
