Tomato Poha Recipe / Thakkali Aval Bath / Tomato Poha Upma
Ingredients
- 1 cup thick Poha/Atukulu/Aval
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- fistful Peanuts
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash well and soak poha for 2 mins, then squeeze them and keep aside. Heat oil in pan add popu ingredients and fry. Then add peanuts, curry leaves, chopped green chillies and fry for a while.
- Once done add chopped onion, turmeric powder, little salt and stir-fry until the onions are soft, stirring frequently.
- Then add in chopped tomatoes and stir, cover and cook on low flame, until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
- Add squeezed poha, salt and mix very well, cook on low flame for a couple of mins with cover. Now tomato poha/tomato aval upma is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
