Ingredients

  • 1 cup Suji/Semolina/Bombay Rava
  • 1/4 cup Maida/All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice Flour/Biyyam Pindi
  • 1 cup finely chopped Methi Leaves
  • 2 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • few chopped Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • enough Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and fry for 30 secs, then add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and stir-fry till translucent. Next add chopped methi leaves and fry for a couple of mins till soft. Turn off the flame and keep aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl add suji, rice flour, maida, salt and add in fried methi leaves and mix together. Then add water to it and make a thin batter, now methi rava dosa batter is ready and keep aside for 10 mins.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava and grease it lightly with oil, when hot pour a ladle full of batter on the hot tava. Now apply 1 sp of oil around the edges of dosa and also apply in the holes of the dosa. Cook it on medium flame till it turns golden brown, then flip the dosa on the other side and cook for 30 secs, remove from the pan on to a plate.
  4. Repeat the procedure for the next dosa by mixing the batter well and prepare dosas. Now methi rava dosas are ready to serve, serve hot with coconut chutney or allam chutney.
